Betty White... Kicks A**
That's right, I said it. She kicks booty.
I wish I could kick as much booty NOW, forget when I approach 90 years old. I want to be as delightful, talented, gung ho and adorable as her at 46.
Of course there is absolutely no hope for that, but still I pine.
I remember Betty White as being OLD when I was a kid. I mean, I thought she was fun and entertaining, but wow, look at that hair.
Ah, how very naive I was!
Why does nearly every young person truly believe they will never get old?
I mean, I knew I would get older but the concept that at some point I would actually be 46 years old with wrinkles forming and white hair sprouting up never occurred to me. Truly one of those WFH moments in life.
WHEN DID I GET OLD???
But I feel lucky. At the least I have Betty White. Because now am I not just starting to accept that fact that I will age and get to 90, I now WANT to get to 90!
Betty White. Showing my generation that getting old still sucks, but at least you can still kick some a**

I love Betty White so much I wrote her a fan letter on my blog. However, my role model has always been the Sophia character played by Estelle Getty on The Golden Girls. I look forward to each birthday. (And before you assume I'm 19, I'm over thirty.) The reason I do is because I can't wait to get to that age when I can say whatever I want and people will just take it because I'm you never know how much longer I'll be here. I plan on being the gangsta of the nursing home, running card games, dating widowers and talking smack to anyone young enough to be my kid, grandkid or great grandkid. . . which by that point will be everyone. I just can't wait.
ReplyDeleteBetty White rules, we're lovin' Hot in Cleveland, a truly satisfying old school sitcom. You're right, she does kick ass in an age where old people are put out to pasture she's still in there hosting SNL and becoming a pop icon. #bettywhiterules
ReplyDeleteBetty White is great and has lasted long in the intertainment world. One reason is she really IS nice. Our culture in U.S. does not appreciate our older people and that is a real shame. Imagine the surprise when they become old...
